Design the Next Arundel Rivers T-shirt!

The contest: We love seeing our volunteers and community members in Arundel Rivers t-shirts to show off their love for their waterways. This year, we want to give everyone the opportunity to showcase their Arundel Rivers pride in a new way: designing the t-shirts themselves!

Contest theme: Plants and Animals of Anne Arundel County. We would love to see designs that feature the animals and plants that are native to Anne Arundel County and its waterways. Some examples are: the black-eyed susan, the eastern oyster, the Atlantic horseshoe crab, the American beaver, and the white oak tree. Contest guidelines. We are accepting hand-drawn or digitally-created designs for our t-shirt design contest. If hand-drawing, please draw BIG! Please do not use AI to create or perfect your design; we would love work made by the humans in our watersheds, even if it’s imperfect!

We encourage designs that include art and/or words. If you are including text in your design, please make sure it is legible. Inappropriate designs will not be accepted. Designs that have line art and few colors are likely to score well, as they are easiest to print! You may design for one or both sides of the shirt. Love Arundel Rivers’ colors? Our logo color codes are: dark blue (#003a70), light blue (#56b7e6), dark seafoam green (#00b097), and light seafoam green (#a0dab3).

Applicants may submit up to three designs. Arundel Rivers reserves the rights to make reasonable adjustments and alterations to designs, as well as the right to use the design in our gear and publications with artist accreditation.

All designs are due on March 1, 2026 no later than 11:59PM. If mailing your design, please mail it no later than Feb 20, 2026 to ensure we get it in time!
